3 Ways to Benefit from Industry Awards

Every industry has awards, and they can be an excellent way to publicize your client! Industry awards are especially effective for innovative startups trying new things that don't yet have much precedent or research to legitimize their approach. Winning one can attract the top talent to your company, increase sales later on, and garner respect from your peers. 

But let's face it, just entering some awards can be expensive! They're also time-consuming and highly competitive. So if you can't swing a submission this year, here are three ways to benefit from paying attention to awards in your industry: 

1. Look at the finalists for top awards in your industry - those are the companies you might want to work for one day! Follow them on LinkedIn, subscribe to their newsletters, and get to know their execs. What qualifications do the people in your dream role there have? This is your path to the top! 🏔

2. Get inspiration & ideas from awards finalists for your own work! If you’re a Content Marketer, look at the agencies & campaigns in the running for Content Marketing Awards. Follow their blogs & social accounts and get a steady stream of inspo for your own projects. 💡

3. Choose a highly nominated company in your field, and ask ChatGPT for the 10 most common phrases in their last 10 press releases. Use these phrases in YOUR pitches and content, or at least as topic ideas. Google the CEO and see where they’ve been interviewed by the press; make these media targets for your own CEO. 🎯
