PR Coverage: Quality Over Quantity

Every artist wants a write-up in Rolling Stone, every entrepreneur wants the cover of Forbes. But what you may not know is that even if you DO land a spot on one of those top-tier publications, they're most likely going to just copy and paste the press release I wrote, no interview, no original writing, and they'll bury it on page 5 under the household names.

And they may have a couple million social followers, but how many of those are the right KIND of people who would likely become YOUR fans? Just a handful, and again, who knows if they'll even see it.

A smaller, more niche publication, however, will take the time to write a more thoughtful review, maybe put together an interview so you can share more of yourself, and present the piece in a more visible, aesthetically pleasing way. The smaller audience will target just the kinds of people who will likely see you and CARE.

Plus, accumulating smaller press coverage now will increase your SEO and your chances of catching those bigger fish later. PR takes time! But it's worth it.
